La Real Sociedad de Fútbol como factor de integración y convivencia

Juan José Álvarez Rubio is Professor of Private International Law at the UPV / EHU and co-founder and Secretary of GLOBERNANCE (Institute for Democratic Governance). He was Secretary General of the Basque Council of the European Movement (EUROBASK / CVME) (May 2003-2012) and currently continues to exercise his function as an expert for the EUROPEAN COMMISSION (General Directorate of Justice, Freedom and Security), on December 17, 2007, for the areas of Civil Justice, borders, protection of personal data and security areas. His lines of research focus on Migration Law and Private International Law, Maritime Law, International Trade Law and Human Rights, European Law and areas related to internal conflicts. He is the author of numerous scientific publications and leads the UPV / EHU's consolidated group of international law as IP. In 2015 he received the Eusko-ikaskuntza-Laboral Kutxa Award for Humanities, Culture, Arts and Social Sciences.

Periodista y escritor. Este es el primer recuerdo sólido de su vida: toda su familia empezó a gritar, a saltar, alguien lo levantó a él en brazos y lo tiró por los aires. Era la tarde del 26 de abril de 1981 y la radio acababa de cantar gol en Gijón. Desde entonces, ha escrito algunos libros, como “Plomo en los bolsillos”, “Cansasuelos” o “Los sótanos del mundo” y uno de ellos habla de ese momento y de la Real: ‘Mi abuela y diez más’.

Holds a Degree in Journalism obtained at the University of Navarre. She has worked for more than ten years in the media, including El Mundo, Deia, Diario de Noticias de Álava and Noticias de Gipuzkoa, where, as head of the Culture section, she was responsible during seven years for reporting on the Festival. She has also worked in the Festival daily editorial department. Until joining our team, she had been assistant manager of its cultural programme with the San Sebastian, European Capital of Culture 2016 Foundation. She wrote the script for the play on the 50th anniversary of the Lagun bookshop and has participated in the short film selection Kimuak, the Basque government programme for the international promotion and distribution of Basque short films (2018).
