Sustainability research to inspire young people

Jon Abril Olaetxea (Bera, 1975) Komunikazio zientzietan lizentziaduna. Kultura-enpresa eta -erakundeen kudeaketan aditua. Hizkuntza aniztasunaren kudeaketa enpresan eta integraziorako politiketan aditua. Elhuyarreko koordinatzaile nagusia da. Aurrez , Partaidetza eta eraldaketa sozialeko teknikari eta koordinatzaile izan da Elhuyarren, eta kazetari, kultur kudeatzaile eta politikari gisa ere egin dut ibilbidea. Euskalgintzako eta kulturgintzako hainbat erakunde eta proiektutan parte hartzen du.

She holds a PhD in Law and is a lecturer in Civil Law at the UPV/EHU. Her main line of research is bioethics, a subject on which she has published several monographs and scientific and dissemination articles. She has participated in 4 European research projects of the VI and VII European Framework Programme, as well as in multiple research projects of the National Programme. She has been a visiting professor at the Hastings Center for Bioethics in New York, the Center for Bioethics at the University of Philadelphia and the University of Bordeaux. She was Secretary General of Eusko Ikaskuntza, and later of Jakiunde, Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters. Vice-rector of quality and teaching innovation at the UPV/EHU between 2008 and 2012, and responsible for the development of the educational model, as well as quality programmes, and training and evaluation of university teaching staff. Between 2013 and 2015, she was Deputy Minister of Universities and Research of the Basque Government.

Ingeniera Industrial (UPV/EHU) trabaja desde 2002 en Elhuyar en tareas de socialización de la Ciencia y la Tecnología y en proyectos STEAM. Dedicada principalmente a la divulgación de la investigación y a proyectos de educación STEAM infantiles y juveniles, en la actualidad es responsable del área de Educación STEAM de la Unidad de Ciencia de Elhuyar,. Ha participado en varios proyectos relacionados con la difusión del resultado de la investigación de la Red Vasca de Ciencia y Tecnología y ha puesto en marcha desde Elhuyar varios proyectos que combinan el área STEAM con la juventud: webs, acciones de dinamización, proyectos de museografía, etc. Actualmente es responsable directa de la iniciativa Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka y de la puesta en marcha de los centros Bizilabe. Desde su área también participan en proyectos europeos vinculados a la educación STEAM.

Aitziber Agirre Ruiz de Arkaute (Gasteiz, 1974) She works at the Elhuyar Foundation in the field of science journalism. She is currently the director and editor of Elhuyar magazine, and previously served as the presenter and editor of the TV show Teknopolis. She has a PhD in Biochemistry. She did her PhD in the Biophysics Unit (CSIC-EHU), researching the mechanisms developed by polio, HIV and influenza viruses to infect cells.

Joseba Aldasoro Galán( Altsasu, 1980) Nekazal Ingeniari Teknikoa e ta Agrobiologian Doktorea da Nafarroako Unibertitate Publikotik. Elhuyar fundazioan lan egiten du 2020az geroztik, zientziaren eta teknologiaren hezkuntza-proiektuetan. Elhuyarren lanean hasi aurretik ikerketan eta hezkuntza formalean (DBHko irakaslea) eta ez-formalean aritua da.

Iker Aranjuelo Michelena (Oiartzun, 1976) Biologian lizentziatua eta Landareen Fisiologian Doktorea da Nafarroako Unibertsitatetik. Gaur egun, Agrobioteknologia Institutuko (IdAB-CSIC) ikertzailea da eta Landare Bioteknologia Saileko burua. Bere ibilbide profesionalean zehar, ingurumen-baldintza aldakorren menpe dauden zereal eta lekaleen ekoizpen jasangarri eta eraginkorra baldintzatzen duten faktoreen identifikazioan zentratu da: karbono dioxidoa, ura, tenperatura… EHUko irakaslea izandakoa da eta gaur egun Nafarroako Unibertsitate Publikoko Zientzietako departamentuan ematen ditu klaseak.
