Summer Courses Foundation

Professor Maider Kortajarena Rubio studied Nursing and Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU). She worked in the Basque Health Service-OSAKIDETZA for 9 years . She started her teaching-research experience at the UPV/EHU in 2006. She teaches in the Official Masters "Healthy Aging and Quality of Life", "Biomedical Research" and "Public Health" of the UPV/EHU. She obtained an evaluation of Notable in the Teaching Program of evaluation of the activity of the teaching staff of the UPV/EHU in 2008-2012 and of Outstanding in the period 2017-2022. She obtained her PhD degree in 2012. Her research work is developed in the AGEING ON group in subjects related to physical activity habits of the population and aging. She has directed 40 TFGs, 6 TFMs and three doctoral theses. She has obtained a positive evaluation by the Quality Agency of the University System UNIBASQ. She has been Academic Secretary of the Dept. Nursing I, Vice-Dean of Mobility in the Nursing Section of Donostia and since 2022 she is Academic Secretary in the Foundation. Orcid ID: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2997-3370

12 - Responsible consumption and production

Guarantee sustainable modalities of consumption and production. Key issues: sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources, reduction of chemical particles released to the atmosphere, water and soils, reduction of waste products, recycling, reuse and reduction, sustainable practices, sustainable public procurement, sustainable lifestyles, rationalisation of inefficient subsidies for fossil fuels.
